It is a short drive by car to local attractions such as; botanical gardens, rainforest, historical sites, beaches, art galleries, markets, major shopping centres and “The Australian Reptile Park”.

Henry Kendall Cottage and Historical Museum

Henry Kendall Cottage and Historical Museum – This was the home of the well known and popular poet “Henry Kendall:” The cottage has regional historical significance as it is one of the oldest homes in the area associated with the first settlement of West Gosford. Pelican Feeding

Pelican feeding is conducted daily at The Entrance, Memorial Park from 3.30pm. A special area has been built where the pelicans gather each afternoon, waiting to be fed fish donated by the local fish shop. This gives the feeding officers an opportunity to treat any injured birds. The pelicans often get injured from swallowing fish hooks, getting tangled up in fishing line and swallowing plastic bait bags. There is an educational talk given with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take photos. The pelicans are also fed daily on Brisbane Waters from 3.00pm at the Fisherman’s Wharf in Woy Woy.
